  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Welcome. Both topics have been combined into one and the title has been updated.

That's not a sensor. It doesn't sense anything, it controls something.
Why do you believe you need a new one? You are pointing to the OCV cover. If you have an oil leak, then the cover is all you need and is very easy to change out. On the other hand if you are having some valve timing problem then you probably need the thing that it covers, the VVT (Variable Valve Timing) solenoid. That is considerably more involved to change out. The valve cover has to come off, so I'd order that valve cover gasket set too.

I am curious as to how you know that you need a part that you can't even identify?

Looks like it could be a cam position sensor to me (with the connector disconnected). It appears to be directly over the intake cam.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

I disconnected it it was full of oil and I clean it with electrical cleaner started working fine for a few days it’s back full of oil

No oil leak on floor just around that ocv cover

Nope, that's not where the cam sensor is.

If it's coming through the electrical connector, then you will need the VVT solenoid (I'd get a new seal too.)

What does vvt stands for
...the VVT (Variable Valve Timing) solenoid. ...
Please note that this is one of the parts that you shouldn't mess with if you don't know what you are doing. Engine destruction is possible if you mess up the timing replacing it.
