  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

does anybody know what those dim lights on the inside corner of the headlamps are for? I don't understand what purpose it serves especially when the HID bulbs are blasting nice white light already.

I believe they are used as parking lights as well as daytime running lights.

quite common on european/japanese/korean vehicles for years now

I wish I could get to them so I could change out the incandescent bulb for a LED that would look much better in the Daytime Running Light role. I've looked at the headlight assembly but can't see any way to get to it.

thanks for the replies. I know they are common on other vehicles but I'm still confused about their role. there are other corner markers for parking lights and they are only on when the headlights are on so they can't be DRLs..

I was looking at them last night and they are a wedge based bulb, and from my experience those are drls. Which ones are the drls then?
