  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

...an egg on steroids?

I suppose you could stuff one of these in your trunk if you wanted to 'park and ride'...kinda looks like a death trap. I'd hate to get broadsided by a semi... LoL...

It I the future of the American automotive industry under the current administration.
I think they call it Green power or something like that.

My Mom always told me not to eat green eggs and I don’t want to be limited to driving one ether. :D

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
The Smart car has proven to be the 2nd dumbest decision Daimler Benz ever made.

Once they can make these stupid "city cars" meet the following criteria I might consider one:
* gotta be as safe as a real car. That doesn't mean crash-testing it at 25mph into a fixed barrier - which only simulates a car crashing into a twin of it - but rather getting hit by a "typical" 4000 pound car with both vehicles going 25 or 35 mph. Odds are the egg is gonna a) bust spectacularly and b) get punted into the next county. Why would I want to be in THAT? What's the average life expectancy of a motorcycle commuter compared to an automotive commuter? An egg commuter is going to be closer to the cycle rider.

* cost next to nothing. Sorry gov't types but, just because I often am alone in the car (family doesn't want to ride with me to work, wait all day, then ride home) doesn't mean I want to shell out nearly real-car price for a second car that can do only one thing. I can afford multiple pairs of shoes - dress, sneakers, grungy shoes for the shop; I can't however afford/justify a different car for each type of driving. Let alone the extra insurance, registration, and property taxes. I can't buy different cars for each type of drive I might do.

These "transportation pods" are just ideas for a solution to a poorly implemented system in my opinion... and nobody seems to want to fix or at least upgrade the system instead. Can you tell though this pushes my button? As a driving enthusiast I loathe the day cars are "autonomous" so that everybody is free of "the chore of driving" and can instead watch YouTube videos while on the road. What a horrible future!
