  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Happy 4th to everyone.

As my genesis lease fell through I am still in the chase.

My local dealer here has a July 4th sale ending on the 6th and are offering a $1500 discount below invoice. So I would appreciate your knowledge.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Dealers like to play games. I have seen invoices made up by the dealership to show what they want to show you (not the factory to dealer invoice). Also they may show you a price that may include previous Hyundai owner discount, military discount and college graduate discounts. A general rule I use is a 8% discount off window sticker price. ... then deduct those Hyundai offered discounts..... The big dealing is if you have a trade in and getting what YOU think is a good trade in value....... Good Luck

That is certainly possible since they get a 3% hold back rebate from Hyundai Motor America after they sell the car. Also, I would bet that they are including the maximum amount of discount offers in that deal, such as $1000 off for competitive/loyalty discount, $500 military discount, etc. So in reality, they I bet they selling at invoice.

There's a few dealers that are getting close to $7,000 off MSRP, before rebates. On Tuesday, I'm going to be getting into a '15 and I am expecting about $10,700 off of MSRP, which includes the dealer rebate, $1k competitive/conquest cash, lease cash of $1500, military of $500, and then another $700 from the Hyundai fuel economy recall/class action.

At this point in the year, if a dealer isn't taking around $6,000 off of the MSRP, I wouldn't be interested.

If you have A tier credit (700+) you will see a money factor of like 0.00039. You can save another 15-1700 if you can get the Hyundai Circle Plan A pricing. Join Hyundai Listens and email a moderator.

Your welcome 4104. I had copied that back in May of 2014 to a Microsoft Outlook Task reminder for myself so I knew if I was getting a good price or not with the Hyundai Circle program. I was pleasantly surprised when I got my 5.0 Ultimate for $50,285. It was posted by another forum member but can't remember who but a huge thanks to him/her...

Due to deep discounting already by most dealers, the Circle Plan A pricing is above what should be the starting point for any price negotiation. If anything currently, it could be a negative, as that could be taken by the dealer as the final price "special" for you.

This. You can easily find better pricing that what Circle Plan A offers just by shopping around, so don't settle.

Circle A is 3% below invoice starting point plus deducting any applicable rebates and dealer cash. That's what I got on my genesis lease.

Sounds like you got a good deal. The challenge however is using the Circle A pricing as is - it tells the dealer that is your special price (less any incentives) which could complicate any further negotiations since you already have what is supposed to be exceptional pricing in your name. It may make for a smooth, hassle-free sale, but many deals today are starting more than 3% below invoice before incentives, lessening the pricing power of the Plan A certificate.

I'm by no means saying you don't have to shop it. I went to 3 dealerships before I found one who wanted to move an awd model off its lot. As long as you go in there knowing circle a pricing is actually a rebate and don't lay it on the table right off.

I ended up getting invoice - 3% - circle a rebate - dealer lease cash - loyalty rebate - boost up.

Worked out great for me. I also was able to trade out of my genesis coupe which I was under water on and not roll any negative equity into the lease.

In my area at least most genesis are selling at invoice accoridng to true car and kbb. So I was truly happy with my deal. Dealership I ended up buying from actually got me into an 3.8 awd sig and tech for the same payment the other two previous dealers were at on just a 3.8 rwd sig only.

On a 5.0 ultimate, the discount works out to be about $5700 off of MSRP. While that certainly isn't bad, I have found many dealers topping this here in Texas. Perhaps it's different for you all in other parts of the nation though.
