  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

After driving my Genesis for over a year now I've grown quite fond of the backup camera. I've never had a car with one before. Whenever I drive the Tahoe I miss it. So, today, I installed one in my Tahoe (quite the effort). That prompted me to ask the question: What things has the Genesis introduced you to that you won't go without in future vehicles?

  1. Backup camera
  2. Adaptive cruise control
  3. iPod and cell phone integration (even though they're far from perfect)

When I first got the Genesis I figured the Back-up Camera was a cute gizmo, that I would probably never use. Now when I jump in my wife's BMW and start reversing, my first glance is to the centre dash, not the rear window!

Beyond that I find most other cars noisy by comparison and I've used the cooled drivers seat feature and rear sunshade far more than I expected. None of these are 'can't live without' items, but they certainly are nice to have.

Heated Steering Wheel...
Oh wait Not....
I will miss this in my Maxima, and if the dealer ever gets my plates released from nissan, going on 3 days now... I will take delivery of my 11 Genny 4.6
I think the seamless ipod integration and the toasty wheel is all I will miss..

1. Smart Cruise
2. Auto wipers
3. Rear window sun shade
4. Auto Defog
5. DVD Audio & video
6. Quietness
7. Comfort

Could live without them but wouldn't want to.

DIC knob. quietness of cabin. ZF smooth buttery transmission. hi-tech V8. SLEEK look of the '09-'11 (as with the '12's they are shooting for a LS460 clone, not my flavor). Xenon HID's.

The ventilated seats!!! Holy cow, it's damn hot here in Houston and these are just the cat's ass...love it. The only thing is that this option MUST be standard for both front seats on the 2012; candidly it's ridiculous it's not.

I have to say that as a guy who has manually turned his head to check blind spot since I learned to drive, I do like the backup camera.
