  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What's the difference between using AAA vs Genesis Roadside Assist?

So I had my 1st ever blow out the other day in the city. His a pot hole I didnt see and tire was flat within the a block. I decided to call Genesis Roadside Assist who told me to just leave the car with the key in it on the side of the road and AAA would pick it up and bring it to the dealer. We then had to call an Uber to get a ride home.

So in this case there's no difference in using AAA direct or Genesis Roadside , right??

I could never get the dealer service on the line directly and they are not set up in the app as an option....

Genesis does not own and operate a fleet of tow trucks. They contract with others, such as AAA.

In the 18 years I've owned Hyundai/Genesis cars, I've used them three times in three different states, with good results. I really don't know (or care) who the actual service provider was, it worked. As for the difference, Genesis is included, AAA would be extra cost to belong.

Thanks Ed. As we have a non-genesis car, I kept my aaa. I just thought there were extra perk , like ride home or something extra with genesis. I’m impartial too as to who does the work , as long as it gets done.

I got that. My last episode a couple years ago, I lost two tires on a road hazard. Tow truck took the car and me to the closest dealer. They could not get the tires until the next day. They sent me home with an Uber, then picked me up the next day. My only cost was the tires.

In the end, i don't know if Genesis or the dealer paid for that, but it was a nice benefit.
