  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've been searching the threads for hood badge placement and I've seen 1" ot 1 1/2" from front edge of hood. Does any one know the measurement when factory drilled holes are used?

I believe that people who have seen a KDM version of Genesis (in Korea) say it is closer to 1" from the bottom of the eblem to the chrome trim.

I used a couple of Korean-spec close-up images to measure the wing and gap between the wing and the grill chrome. I estimated approximately 1 inch, like Mark said.

That's what I used for my own car:

I think it looks good.

Thanks. When I put the hood badge on yesterday (at 1 1/2"), it looked a little too far. I was just wondering.
I'll reset it to 1" being as how it's a little tilted anyway.

How are the rear trunk badges turning out? Any pics?
Not exactly sure what you mean, but Genesis sedan rear trunk has holes that exactly match the tabs on the KDM rear trunk badge. There are hundreds of posts (with pics, videos, etc) posted on this forum on how to replace rear trunk badge.

I wasnt sure if aligning the rear badges was a problem or not. Seeing how there is holes, doubt it...haha.

Strangely enough, the tabs on the H badge are round and do not exactly fit the holes in the trunk (which are more oval), so there is some room for being a little crooked on the H badge. However, the tabs on the KDM badge are oval and exactly fit the oval holes on the trunk (at least on my 2009 Genesis).
