  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My passenger front bumper accent has a few cracks in it. Just wondering if underneath the chrome vinyl is it painted the same as the body color?

It is and the chrome can be separated from the trim piece by removing a few screws but the different angles/screw holes of the trim piece behind the chrome might not be the look you're going for. The part can be ordered for like $40 new.

I don't mean removing the actual piece, I mean the chrome vinyl that is laid over the top of it. I am sure it can be seperated with a lot of time and patience. I will probably just put new vinyl on it to get rid of the look. Probably brushed aluminum.
