  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2017 G90 and I love it! No intention of trading. BUT...I cannot imagine why the Genesis designers insist on wheel that look good only on the driver side of the car. The design is not symmetrical so they look "with the wind" on one side and "against the wind' on the other. I notice the same problem with the 2023 G90 pictured in current ads. Am I the only one who finds this odd?

I never noticed this but I think the wheel design on the 2017-2019 is stunning.

I noticed this, a lot of the G90 wheels for 2023 have this peculiarity which I STRONGLY dislike.

I do see your point, and I’ve noticed it on lots of other vehicles myself, but I have never seen a vehicle manufacturer create driver’s side and passenger’s side rims such that the direction of the rim design/spokes looks the same on both sides.

Because when you rotate tires they would end up flipped and be wrong on both sides :)

Sorry I do not have any picture on the car right now, but my 1995 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo has specific wheels for all four corners. They are directional to aid in brake cooling.

I don't mind them because you never see both sides at the same time, so no one really notices. I think they look really good, and I'm having a hard time finding similar ones to use as a second set without paying $2k+

With directional tires, wouldn't you be limited to rotating them front to back anyways? That's if you have a square setup. They have to be removed from the rim to be rotated and that's also if they're not marked with an inside/outside. But then, what do I know... lol... My only car with a square setup was my 2011 2.0T Sonata and I never rotated them. When the fronts wore out, I moved the rears to the front and new tires go on the back.
