there is a huge difference, in fact a $16,000 uptick in pricing difference.

a lot more tech, new engines, new interior and exterior, complete redesign.

I loved my 2018 G80 Sport, was looking forward to getting a 2021-2022 G80 Sport when the lease was up, but 1. No Sport at this time, and 2. they bumped the price up to over $65K. So I traded my 2018 G80 this past weekend since the lease was up, for a Palisade.

OK........... The body styles did not look that different to me between 2 & 3 as they did between 1 & 2...

The body it an evolution but the chassis and engines are major changes. Better materials and technology. I think you really have to see and drive one to appreciate all the differences.

Thanks Mr. I. Showing the 3 Generations gives us perspective on the visual changes over time. I drove a 2011 3.8 (Gen. 1) for 7 years/100K Miles. Solid mechanically, good tech for the day and decent lines albeit more staid then Gen 2 and 3's.

I currently own a 2018 G80 3.3T (Gen 2.), Much flashier looks, more/newer tech and better performance than Gen 1. Less reliability IMO (Turbo Oil line recall, Window trim pitting, OEM tire bubbling etc.) I still love this car though.

Gen 3. is more blingy/supermodelish. The front side fender accents, oversized front grill and slotted headlights are to futuristic/flashy for my taste. To each their own. I had posted previously the G80 is geared to us middle aged/elderly folk. If you're having a midlife crisis and/or dating/marrying well below your age group the gen 3 G80 is your car! ;)
