Random questions: is the sunroof wind deflector really necessary. on some car without it there will be a noise inside the car from the wind entering from the sunroof area, my bmw popped up a metal plate that deflected the wind and it worked, just wondering if its necessary on the genesis.

Random Question: Do our cars or ALL DI cars put out a ton of soot ? Is it really alot when you get on it ?

Question #1. It is not necessary to have that giant wind deflector POS on the top of the Genny. Is that what you were referring to?

Question #2. Yes, DI cars always put out a ton of soot. Nature of the beast.

To the second question, yes. Most GDIs put out quite a bit more soot than non DIs. Sometimes if the engine isn't warmed up yet and I stomp on it I'll see a puff of black smoke come out the pipes. Not too bad to keep them clean if you keep up with it every time you wash the car.
