  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello all!

Just bought a 2021 G80. I came from a 21 Telluride, and that car had a perfectly shaped indentation where the key fob fit while driving. I'm weird about things jingling or rattling while driving, and I was curious where people tend to put their key fob while driving.

Silly question, I know, but it will bug me if I don't find a place!

Never comes out of my pocket. I generally wear pants when driving so easy to do.

Same. Why would you take it out of your pocket?

Hi,

There is actually an indentation under the armrest where you can place the key fob.
If you look in between the armrest and the center console, below the armrest button and to the right a bit. There should be small recess where you can place it. Also just a note it’s supposed to be placed with the narrow side of the key fob inward.
Hope this helps.

It’s nice to feel a bit free when driving. I tend to take out everything from my pockets before going on a drive. But I get that it’s just easier keeping it all in your pocket.

Appreciate that, I'll look around for it!

One of the coolest things i liked about the 2012-2014 models were they had a place to place your keys you slot it in. But now generally, just leave it in your pocket, unless is feeling uncomfortable for you leave on your cup holders on some.

The trouble with placing the FOB in the car, is that you forget it in the car when you get out. I used to use my NFC card often, but I was always forgetting it in the car when I shut car off and got out.

Now I usually use the FOB in my pocket. (I still use the NFC card, but put it back in my breast pocket once car starts,)
