If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. My backup Camera gave way 5 days ago and has not come back to life yet.
I would like to order a camera but don't know where I can get this item at a decent price...

Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

It's for a 2009 V8 Tech package...FYI, I'm just shy of 100K on the odometer.

eBay is your friend. :D Top rated sellers are always the best way to go.

Thanks for trying.

Anyways...
I called Hyundai and they want $975.00 + tax for just the camera!
They're sick in the head!!!!!
There's no way I'm spending that for a freakin' camera!

Anyone know a better place to find this camera?

thanks

I can't imagine the camera for a 2009 is different than a 2010, 2011 or 2012. If that is the case, you can find OEM cameras on eBay for around $330.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Rear-Tr...012|Model:Genesis&hash=item43af98a59b&vxp=mtr

While the above is not a top rated seller, it was the first I came across.

To confirm they crossover from year to year, find a VIN from a later year, and call a parts department with that VIN and get the price and part number, then compare that to your VIN, price and part number.

Thanks for the help...I appreciate it.
I'm impressed you found that on Ebay...I couldn't...Incompetent I guess.

anyways, found this:
http://www.parts.com/parts/2009/HYU...eid=1442850&diagram=1075620&diagramCallOut=15

And they quoted me $358.03 for the camera. They needed my VIN to find the part.

Thanks again

I'll see if I can get mine going this weekend...by playing with the connection or whatever else comes to mind...I might just blow some heated air on the camera in case humidity did something...we'll see

Best place to get it and have it installed with a little bit of flair is a Ziebart. if you can find one, it'll spruce up your altima pretty nice.

Well my rear camera on my 2009 4.6 Genesis finally went after going in & out for a few weeks, so i did order an OEM one from http://www.hyundaipartszone.com/ with tax for $280. Hopefully this will get my rear view back to where it was, CAMERA ASSY-BACK VIEW
Replaced by: **760-3M060 (this i believe is the new part #)

How many miles you got on your Genesis these days MOE?:)

Scottdk whats up , im around 46,000 (how about you ). dont drive her that much unless the Mrs & I are going out somewhere or away for the weekend, im a motorcycle man and go everywhere on my bikes lol

To access the camera you have to remove the inner carpet piece from the trunk lid then remove your tail lights from the trunk lid ( being held by 2 black plastic screws & one silver metal screw ) then you have to remove the lower portion of the outter trunk lid, now this part isnt easy but this is the part that your reverse camera is mounted to, its held to the trunk lid by those easy to break plastic clips & if you dont have the right tool then you will surely break those clips, once you have this piece removed you will see your reverse camera mounted on this piece by 2 small screws

Took me about an hour to remove everything because it was my first time but took me only about 15 minutes to install the reverse camera and my whole trunk lid back together again & once again i love my genesis again lol

Nice MOE - I'm at around 38,800 or so. I haven't looked at the OD since last year:) I don't drive it in the winter and it's more of my weekend car.

i thought about the R-spec but my next car might be a convertible, but im not letting go of this genesis

Thanks MOE for the description how to access it.
When the weather warms up I'll see if I can fix mine.

thanks

Hey Moe,

Could you go into a little more detail about removing the lower portion of the trunk lid? What kind of tool did you need to get the plastic clips off? Thanks!

Is the replacement camera a Hi Def model??
