  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So, I dropped the Christmas tree trunk on the edge of my 2011 Genesis today. It shattered the Plastic Base that fits around the Latch to secure the Trunk Lid. So, I would like to get another Plastic piece.

Anyone know what this Part is called and where I can get another one?

I think it will be in section: REAR BODY & FLOOR->Interior Trim->Trunk Side Trim or Rear Panel Trim

Got this part and it snapped in less than a half hour!:)

--- The only slight problem I had were the two plastic Plugs with a threaded body. I pulled them out with some force and it ruined the 'Threads' that hold them in the hole. They are a cheap part, so I'll just get a couple more.

Wondering if anyone knows how to remove these plastic plugs without damaging them?

I do believe you simply press in on the center of them. I remember reading that from another post on here.

These are not the ones with the center button. They have a completely smooth top. Pressing on the center, would only seat them firmly.
