  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does anyone have knowledge about the location and perhaps which fuse to pull to reset the EVU and eliminate the following minor problem please?

On a 2012 5.0 sedan premium tech package.

Whenever I use the backup camera, I get the "check surrounding ..." warning on the bottom of the screen.

Everything has been done regarding cleaning sensors and camera lense along with parking the vehicle always in a heated garage. Parking assist sensors are all clean the the parking assist works fine with all sensors functioning as intended.

This warning occurs every time reverse is used and started about a week ago on one very cold morning (-5 def. F day).

Either condensation inside lense or a software bug as I suspect.

Any opinions welcome, I'll live with it until next oil change, but I suspect there may be a way to reset the ECU and correct situation unless there is condensation inside the camera lense.

Thanks.

That message is NORMAL OPERATION. You should read it. It cautions against only using your video screen when backing up. It tells you to look around, just as you would do if you had no backup camera. Yes, there are people out there who think that having a backup camera obviates the need to look around before backing up.

Hah, yeah...that warning is standard legalese. A lot of cars have that warning on the backup camera. Our Subaru Tribeca does the same as well.
