Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. Whining Noise upon cold engine start

Upon starting my car, I have noticed a light whine coming from the engine. I noticed that it does not whine when I turn the steering wheel while in park so I dont think it is the power steering, but after driving until the engine warms up (Oil), it starts to fade. I have read that it could be the water pump failing, or something within the belt system.

Any thoughts or direction would be greatly appreciated!
