  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am hoping to purchase the upcoming GV70e when it comes available. One of the available interior colours is white. Does anyone have the white interior in their current Genesis vehicle? If so, is it a pain to keep clean? What about the steering wheel if it is also white?

White seats are usually difficult to keep clean. Things as simple as wearing jeans will discolor the white seats as the blue dye transfers from the jeans to the leather. HOWEVER, it is also very easy to protect your white leather inter now with interior ceramic coatings.

I use Gyeon Leather Sheild for all my light colored interiors. It does not impact the color or feel of the leather and is very easy to apply. Apply that product to your seats and leather dash and you should have no worries about the white interior.

I have vanilla and love it. However it’s just me and my wife. No passengers, kids or COFFEE.
People put a curse on me and say the blue from jeans will discolor the white.
If so it can be cleaned or color can restored.
As for black. It’s always black. Stays black.

I have a white interior with nappa leather and alcantara headliner and have no issues. 13 months old and still looks like it was just delivered.

I live in Georgia and have owned a car with a black interior “once” and never again. I imagine having a car with black interior might be easier to keep clean but they are hot as hell in the Georgia summers especially after a few hours in the sun. Have had light interior cars and never had a problem.

We have the vanilla interior and after 6k miles this past weekend was the first time I had to clean the drivers seat due to my wife wearing brand new jeans. the bottom side bolster had a little blue on it from her jeans, but it wiped right off with some leather cleaner. Aside from that, we have had zero issues with the vanilla interior getting "dirty".
Our 3 boys are moved out so its mainly just us in the car.

That cream white is beautiful. Looks very classy and high end. If you're worried about potential for stain or wear, can consider havana brown. That's what I ended up with and it's also very classy, elegant looking. But the steering wheel is in the same brown color. Some may prefer black steering wheel.

Thank you for the pictures. Also the suggestion from deewan re: Gyeon Leather Shield.
This helps me to make the choice.
