  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wondering how many here are going jump to the new G90? Of course, another option is hold your fire and maybe pick up a 16 at a bargain basement price.

The new Genesis is going to be the G80. The G90 is a replacement for the Equus, and much more expensive than the Genesis/G80.

The G80 is expected to be very similar to the 2016 Genesis.

To answer the question (now modified), I'm waiting for the G80 (new Genesis), but only if it comes with the 5.0 V8. If not, then I'm not waiting.

Is all that clear?

And the op is dreaming because he's broke.

Well, excuse my ignorance. I thought my post was directed to current Equus owners.

Not to be too picky - but you said "how many here" might go for the G90.
I'm here, and might go for the G90 if it's the only way I can get the V8. Kinda like the 5.0 V8, if you haven't already guessed.

As far as current Equus's (Equusi?), I think they're kinda like Unicorns - never seen one.

You are entitled to make that assumption because you did post in the Equus Section, but I, like a lot of members usually click on Today's Posts and then just look at the thread titles, I admit I rarely look what forum they are posted in. :)

Equus are not Unicorns in Socal, I have seen several.

My mistake, as I did not notice you posted in the Equus section.

and to think there is still a new 2014 Equus sitting on a dealer lot here in Indianapolis...:D

I have stated this a few times
That G90 WILL NOT be blowing off dealers lots

There will be some good discounts to be had...I am betting at least $20K off when the pipeline and dealer supply is all available

Good grief, what will it take to move that new 2014 Equus sitting in Indiana. I spent several weeks on the Florida gulf coast this winter, and while not super plentiful, I did see 4 equus in Naples and two K900 in Lake Placid. Here in PA, I have never seen an Equus on the road. I figured the lack of all wheel drive and selling dealers was the problem. I'm going to wait and see how the G80-G90 rebranding goes.

Based on information I saw on www.Hyundailistens.com the G90 price will start in the mid $60's. So one can probably get a 2014-2015 Hyundai Equus plus a small SUV for the price of 2017 G90.

I love my '14 Equus. The G90 is larger, and its increased length would be very tight in my garage. The additional rear seat space in the G90 is meaningless to me. I suspect the G90 will sell at MSRP at first, but with time we'll see deep discounts.
The G80 may be a possibility, but again I will wait for deep discounts.
It appears that the new turbo V-6 at 365 hp has almost the same torque as the 5.0 V8 plus the torque curve is much broader.

Don't currently own an Eq - but a G2, and you better believe I am waiting anxiously for the G90. There will be a CPO in my not too distant future. :D

give the G90 at least 24 months after introduction to buy that CPO

the discounts from sticker are going to be positively HUGE.....;)
