Whoa, what's up with this Hyundai/Genesis TV ad today on NBC?

I'm watching the Arnold Palmer Open Invitational on NBC and they just aired an ad for the GV80, but at the top of the ad appeared HYUNDAI in huge letters. The name, Genesis, did not appear on the screen. The narrator just said GV80. I've never seen a Genesis ad before that had a huge display of Hyundai at the top.

I thought Genesis was going to be run as a totally separate company from Hyundai. Has something changed? There is no Genesis dealer here in my city of 100,000 people because the Hyundai dealer has declined to meet the requirements to be a Genesis dealer.

Hmm, that does seem odd. Not a very good way for Genesis to establish itself as a separate luxury brand.

Maybe for some reason a local dealer or dealer group had Hyundai added to the commercial? That's really odd and not what the Genesis brand needs.

Gotta laugh at this comment. We all know that most Genesis dealers, in the USA anyway, only have a Hyundai sign out front.

There is no local dealer here. This was a national ad.
