I was going to work the other day. Three lanes stopped at a stop light. Right lane was right turn only (nice green light that shows right turn only along with a sign). Middle lane (I was in it) is either left turn or straight through the intersection. Left lane is left turn only. Like I said, marked on the lights and the signs.
A truck stopped beside me in the right hand land, then pulled out and went right. A small SUV pulled up beside me and stopped in the right lane after the truck left. There were cars coming from the left going through their green light so I didn't question why the SUV was sitting there beside me.
The light turned green and I pulled out to make my left turn. The car on my left was making a left turn. There are only 2 lanes on Rt. 10 west bound but that jerk in the SUV decided he was going to turn left, too. That made three of us trying to squeeze into 2 lanes. I glimpsed him beside me when there shouldn't have been anyone there. First gear (pulling off the stop light) and quick smack of the gas pedal resulted in a small amount of wheel spin that slightly slid the rear of the car around and then the coupe was "out of the squeeze play" and headed down the road west bound.
Every time you've think you've seen all the stupid crap people can do someone will go out of their way to prove you haven't seen it all.
I like my car. I like it a lot.
