  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wake up after a bad storm the other day and it looks like someone threw a baseball thru my rear window on my 2009 Genesis 4.6 and then when i tried to cover up the hole it just caved in leaving me no choice but to remove it completely, my neighbors son who works for Safelite will be here tomorrow with a new one for me......and on another note my air bag light just started staying on constantly last week and then i received this letter in the mail 2 days ago informing me that my warranty has been extended just for this issue (Clock Spring), lucky me

Now is the time to sell it if you don't use it anymore. People are paying outrageous prices for used vehicles in good shape because of the lack of new inventory.

Thought about that but had it since 11/08 not ready to depart with it just yet

Nice new back window. I’ll be interested to learn the outcome of airbag light.

Have my appt on the 22nd but thats for them to verify the issue (it stays on constant now) then theyll have to order the part because i doubt they have the part on hand & i can only hope that its in North America otherwise it will be awhile.......ill post back....

Heh.. you aren’t wrong about waiting for parts. I’ve been waiting 3 months for a windshield for a 2021 G80.
I deal with motorcycle & car parts , if what you need isnt in North America , youll be waiting and hope that its not in a container thats being broken into by crooks or that it doesnt fall off the ship as some have , you cant make this s#$t up......

So took my car in with the new letter i had from Hyundai extending my warranty to 15 years for that air bag light which the letter said was due to the CLOCK SPRING......the service dept pissed me off talking about $165 for a diagnostic at which time i told them to PULL MY CAR OUT IMMEDIATELY, went home order a new OEM clock spring ( cheaper than $165 ) and changed it myself just to find out the my sons scanner is showing the PODS (ECU) under the passenger seat is the issue but now im tring to find part #s for the BLADDER or sensor connected to the bladder but i found a ecu for a good price, so ill be ordering that first........

You see in the pic of the passenger seat that the Pressure Sensor # 7 plugs into the Bladder #2 ....these are the 2 parts im looking for part#s for......item #6 is the ECU which i found and might be all i need but would like those part #s just in case........

Before you buy anything else I would try another scanner to make sure it is reading correctly.

You do have a point there and i do own a ODBII reader myself but not for srs/air bag or abs and been wanting a new one that does it all, so ill buy a new one b4 i order any more parts just to verify......

Make sure you post an update and good luck!

Ok so today i had a chance to get to work on my 09 Genesis 4.6 to get rid of that SRS RED dash light......started by removing my passenger seat at which time i couldnt locate the part i was replacing and boy was i getting heated.....went back online and found a diagram that showed a pic of the seat and upon looking closely i noticed that the seat controls were on the left side of the seat, i pulled the wrong damn seat SMDH......upon pulling the drivers seat i located the part and didnt have to remove the seat just lean it back and propped up the bottom so that i could get access to it......upon replacing it and recalibrating the new ecu, my SRS RED light comes on and goes out and stay off like its supposed .......talking about being happy but im more happy i had a chance to vacuum under both seats, 13yrs of dust lol........
