Hello from San Diego
My wife drives the Genesis and has put me in charge of new tires...which is probably a good thing. The 2009 4.8 has 53K on it. She purchased Pirelli Net Zero 235 50 R18 at 36K. The rear tires have 5K left if that.
I went back to Discount Tires. The warranty on the tires is 45K (I am surprised) so they have offered to give her a discount of about 50% on any new tires.
Every time I ride with my new bride I think that we have just robbed a bank.
However 22K on Pirelli is just sad. I run the ATR Pirelli Scorpions on my 4Runner and I have 50K and 20K tread left.
Goals are somewhat longer life of the tire and competence at speed. We are in San Diego and she drives almost all freeway miles.
Thank you much for your tips. Now the real story is I like the hot Korean Rocket.
