  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Will these be too wide on a 2010?

So I have an opportunity right now I'd like to jump in on. I'm at the tire shop where they have 4 Michelin Primacy mkv4 tires left on clearance. Reg 255.00 Canadian, on for 100.00 each. But instead of factory 235/50/18, they're a bit wider and shorter at 245/45/18. Will they rub when turning at 245 do you think?

Thank you very much

I don't think they will rub, however your speedometer will not be accurate. The number of revolutions per mile are different.

The 245/45-18's are about the same section width (overall width of the tire) but have a 1/2" wider tread and are slightly smaller in diameter (2%) than the original 235/50-18's.
I wouldn't anticipate any rub from these as it's not a huge departure from what you have now.
Your speedometer will likely read a little slow meaning when your car says 100KmH you will actually be going 98KmH.

They won't rub. I ran 245s on my 2011 4.6 and had no issues
