  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wind noise at 80mph

Might also want to apply a thin layer of silicone. It should restore the seals.

I get excessive wind noise past 140mph :(

In all seriousness there seem to be a lot of issues with seals for this car, looks like the material they used may not be the best and a lot of people are reporting seal issues for cars a couple of years old.
At that speed it is not gaskets, it is the police sirens. Did you happen to see any lights flashing as the noise increased?

So that's what that was, I thought it was just the sun setting...

Bumping this thread to see if anyone else has this wind noise issue. It seems to be worse at faster highway speeds, and in crosswinds. Folding in the mirrors while driving did not eliminate the noise.
Same here I have a 2015 G80 Great Car... but at 60mph and above there is wind noise on the drivers side.... Please let me know what may have been done to fix this annoyance.... Thank you..

On my car it was the driver's side REAR door seal where it meets the back of the driver's door... The plastic pins that hold it in place are pretty fragile & break easily. Brush up against it hard a few times while getting in the car and they'll come loose. I replaced mine and it's been quiet every since.

I have a 2022 GV80 with excessive wind noise at highway speeds 65mph coming from driver and passenger doors sounds like seal problems. For a luxury vehicle it is unacceptable so far my only disappointment with the vehicle sounds like there is no remedy so far.
