  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Window Tint Laws in the USA: How Dark Can You Go?
I had a 50% done and it makes a difference and it not too dark at night.
Mine is ceramic and I paid $300 last year. Cheaper film was $200

Mine's dark on the rear & back windows, the fronts are a bit lighter - don't know what the %'s are, it was done by the previous owner. Good thing it was a quality job!

My previous 5.0 with 35% vs. current 20%. I prefer 35%, if my car wouldn't come with tinted windows from dealer, I'd get it dome at 35% again.

Thanks guys I did find find the tint limits and being in super sunny Az. could go with a darker tint, though with the Ultimate I do have the retractable sun shade in the rear window

If you're concerned about heat rejection, I strongly recommend ceramic tint. I had Huper Optik 50% nano-ceramic tint on a previous car, and it had significantly better heat rejection capabilities than the dealer-installed 35% (brand unknown) that is currently on my Genesis.
