  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

OK guys I need some help...

I have read the manual and know how to get the windsheild wiper arms up to change/clean the blades, and I have done it successfully a handle full of times. No sweat!

However, now that isnt working. I follow the guidlines exactly and nothing happens. Does anyone have suggestions as to how to remedy this problem? Has this happened to anyone else?

Everytime I've done it is as follows:

1. Shut engine off.
2. As soon as ignition is off, push wiper stalk up, and hold for a few seconds.

Don't wait too long after shutting ignition off. Push stalk up as soon as engine stops. If you wait too long, the system will reset and you will have to restart engine, then shut off all over again.

Note; when I first started doing this, I was also pulling stalk toward me after holding it up for a few seconds. Seems to work without pulling stalk toward me, but if just pushing stalk up once engine stops, and it does not work for you, you can try pulling stalk toward you also.

Again; you must hold stalk up for A FEW SECONDS. Just pushing up and releasing will not do it.

Good luck.
