Hi all, I have some persistant squeaking/creaking issues and I think I may have narrowed them down to the windshield trim on my 2018 G80. Pressing on them creates an audible squeak, with the passenger being louder than the driver. Inside the car, I hear a squeak that's louder when braking or turning (weight shift) and no interior surface seems to produce a noise. When it's raining or the car goes through a wash, the noise disappears, making me think it's external rather than internal.
I will try to rejuvinate the rubber with a little silicone oil or grease, but it would be much easier if I can remove the entire trim, lube well, then reinstall it rather than trying to slide underneath. Does anybody have instruction on how to remove this piece?
