Wing Emblem shopping for best price (2012 w Tech 3.8)

Hello Guys,

I just purchased a 2012 V6 with Tech package and am shopping for a few items (Wings, Chrome trims, maybe the lighted door sills, Blind Spot Monitoring).

I have been shopping for the wings as my first order of business and have come across the following items on ebay for the Trunk/Hood and Wheels set ($18.20 & $52.90):

Trunk/Hood:

PS. I know the 2 options for the airbag but the airbag change option it around $200-$240 so want to wait and might do that later.

Are there 2 version of the Wings? Some pics the bottom part of the wings look more edgier...

The hood and trunk wings are official Hyundai parts for a Genesis sedan sold in Korea, so there is not likely to be a quality issue. However, there may be more than one version, for example I think there is a Prada version. Not sure if they changed in 2012 compared to 2009-2011.

I would do a little more research on the wheel caps to make sure those are the right ones. Some of those are not OEM parts. You might want to post a pic of your wheels.

I assume you mean mm.

I don't believe there are two sizes for hood. The large one goes on the hood, and is slightly curved to fit the contour of the hood. Smaller one goes on trunk.

But maybe I am wrong and maybe there are now two sizes for the hood. If so, please provide a link or other doc.

Thanks for the link....I like the black chrome personally, and I think I'm going to order me up a set I notice the chrome wings on my black car are just TOO bling, which isn't my thang.

The larger size is for the hood, and NO there are not wings without the tabs. They will have to be cut or dremeled off...

According to those links, the part numbers are identical for both sizes. That makes me suspicious. What is the wingspan of the trunk emblem?

According to this link the trunk emblem is 160 mm, so most people who have a hood emblem probably have the 184mm one. But some think it is too large, and if there was a smaller one available they might have used it.

My bad, they are different. I would get the smaller one, since a lot of people think the larger one (originally only one available) is too large. I get the impression that on this forum most people have not installed the hood emblem at all.

Damn, I just installed the chrome emblem today. If I had seen the black one before I ordered the chrome I would have gone with that one instead.

I know the Black Chrome looks nice but actually I am now thinking that it wont look good on my Silver G with the Factory Chrome .....

What do you guys think?

BTW, so yes it looks like there are 2 parts for the two emblems and the ones ending in 500 look to be the newer parts even for the trunk wing. So converting 180mm is about 7" which is not too big...

There is also another color ending in 530 which looks like a titanium color.
