  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

In searching for new wiper blades on line, I read that our blades are under warranty for 12 months. Does anyone know about that? I can't seem to find any warranty info in my manual or other papers. Compression blades are hard to find.

Get some Valeo's. They are the best I've tried. I don't know about their warranty, but they are so inexpensive that I don't worry about it.

Thanks dg. It looks like I gotta' spend $50 a pair.

I just called the dealer and he says I'm covered under warranty.

12 mos 12,000 miles. He's got a set and I'm going in today.

Note to others: Get your new set before your warranty expires. Replacements are pricey!! We require the blades with the 'compression fittings'.

I got rid of the OEMs because they were so noisy (big thump at the top of each upsweep). I then tried Michelin Symphony (quite expensive and no quieter) and Rain-X (same problem). Then I took the advice of another poster here and got the Valeos. Problem solved. I'll never buy another set of OEMs.

I don't know guys. I have the OEM, replaced the original only because one of the two tore in the ice when I was out in Roswell last December. The other one is still good, but I replaced both, saving the good one for emergencies. My second set of OEM has been working great. I have a third set sitting in my trunk waiting for the day that second set goes bad.

As you can see, I have no problem with the OEM.

As I had indicated in another post. Since my car was only 4 months old, I told the dealer about my problem of the wipers dragging and skipping across the windshield. They replaced my wipers today and so far they are working perfectly.

The wipers I got with the car did not work correctly from day 1. The new ones appear different than the stock model. They are much slimmer in appearance, but glide across the windshield perfectly.

I noticed that too... the new blades the dealer gave me today are much slimmer too! They work fine. Quiet, no more thumping at top of sweep, no smears... Very happy.
