  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi guys. Since winter is coming and this is my first winter with my car I have question regarding the wipers.

Is it normal to not be able to lift the wipers up and leave them up to avoid ice build up etc when parking the car or is this just my car? If not why were they designed like this?

How do you change them?

Plz someone let me know. Thanks.

Yes, this is the design. Helps eliminate wind noise and help aero for mpg's. There is a service position after you shut the car off, hold the wiper level as to swipe once and it will bring the wipers vertical and remain there until you start the car again.

I don't totally understand. How do you get them in the service position?

1. Get in the car and shut the door
2. Push the start button
3. Push the start button again to put it into ACC mode
4. Push the start button one more time to turn the car OFF
5. Push the "Mist" feature upwards for 5 seconds or so
6. The wipers will move up and stop to service them
7. Get back in the car and turn the car on and hit the wiper button to put them back down.

Darek I saw you replaced the oem wipers with Bosch's.
Can you define the phrase "much better" than oem?
Are they more quiet too?
Mine sometimes are quite noisy and Im not even sure this is normal?
Sorry OP for hijacking your post.

OE wipers weren't noisy in my case, but I couldn't deal with those streaks left by them, I like my windows clean as much as possible.
I always had a Bosch wipers on my bimmers, then both Santa Fe and now Genesis.

Thank you

Your welcome :)
