Wondering if anyone has had this problem. Wiper works on all functions. When the windshield is dry the wiper sweep is normal, goes to 1.5 inch from edge of drivers side windshield but when it gets wet the wiper blade will hit the window edge. The wiper transmission and motor have been replaced and new one doing the same thing as the old one. Any ideas?

Sounds like a problem of stacked tolerances with old worn parts. Total slop = transmission slop + motor slop + linkage slop + spline/spindle slop + other unknown slop. So presuming everything is OEM spec, damage free, and there are no issues with the new parts (i.e. not rebuilds with questionable histories), then slop most likely remains where the slop wasn't already fixed. So check those places.
