  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I recently installed this device into my brand new 2022 Genesis G70 because i was annoyed at having to plug in my iPhone every time i wanted to use Apple Car play.
Now it is just as good as Native Wireless Car play.
It Works flawlessly every time i get into car !!!!

Is there much of a delay when moving around the menus or with the audio?

I have not noticed any delay at all we’re navigating the menus. But there is a delay in sound if you’re playing a YouTube video on your phone.

Try making a call you’ll find there is a huge delay.

Nothing noticeable on my car. You sure you got the latest model version 2.0 ?
Mine works great !!!! Anyhow I got rid of the car. Got back into a BMW.

wow, in less than 1 month you got rid of a G70 to get "back" into a BMW... had the G70 just enough to tell us about the wonders of this wireless adapter? strange.

Hey, he was nice enough to buy the G70 just to let us know how it worked. Not every spammer would do that. I hope his commission at least cover the cost of whoever wrote the ad copy for him.

23% of the Amazon buyers gave this clunky device only 1 star. It still takes up the USB data outlet, so I can't plug in the thumb drive with my music on it.

I have a similar one from carlinkitcarplay. And it works pretty well. Only 1 issue I have:

There's about a 3 second or so audio delay. So when you want to change a song, it'll be 3 seconds behind. Kinda annoying, but it used to be worse. I have it check for updates on the occasion to see if one day they fix it. But again, meh. Not a big deal in all honesty. Pretty used to it at this point.

I had this very same device in my Acura RDX - no wireless carplay after being in a BMW that did have it - and installed it into my G70 immediately when I got the car 3 days ago. It worked right away, and I now have wireless carplay working great.

I can tell you that, based on my 6-month experience with it in my Acura, it works great most of the time, but sometimes will not connect to the phone, or will take several minutes to do so. There were a few times that I was 10-15 minutes into my drive, and then all of sudden I was blasted with sound when it finally connected, lol.

In the 3 days I've been using it in the G70, it seems to be working great. One little detail I found - in order to enable split screen, you have to disconnect the dongle from the USB port. The system won't let you change that option if a device is plugged in.

Hyundai is not for me. Especially coming from a German Engineered car. Nothing strange here bud…
Lol. German engineering… I drove a Mercedes GL before Genesis. Never going back to German cars again. Amazing Engineering that breaks and costs $hi7 tons of money fix it.

I always hated having to plug and unplug my phone to my car. It was a pain in the you know what. And on short trips I didn’t even bother, wasn’t worth the hassle. Carlinkit changed all that. Now every time I get in the car, I’m hooked up with no hassles. No waiting to engage. By the time my car (Genesis) finishes displaying its initial message, Carlinit has already hooked up. I’m one happy guy. I have not used my Carlinkit on a extended trip (2hr+) but so far I have not had any problems.
