  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wireless Carplay

There have been several announcements about the roll-out of wireless AA/ACP to select Hyundai/Genesis models, and even mentions about [enabling] said functionality - but nothing that I've seen on either side via updates over the last year. At 1st it seems like the hardware was already there in select models the way the announcement was written, but again after waiting more than a year I highly doubt that's the case.

I'm not holding my breath! It would be nice, though.

I took my 2021 Audi in for service last summer, and when I picked up the vehicle, my Android Auto worked wirelessly. I had to use a Motorola MA-1 before that. I would love it if one of the updates enabled wireless AA and CarPlay!
Your right, it would be nice, but the Motorola works just fine for me and I don't think I would know the difference. I would rather see some other things corrected that there are not any aftermarket products for.

I’ve used both the android and apple version of these and they work smoothly. Easy connection.

A few small isuses I've learned to deal with since the rewards outweigh the adjustments; delayed connection upon entering the vehicle; occasionally I have to unplug and plug the dongle back in to reset; the usb plug is “hot“ so the dongle is always running. Not sure if the low voltage the dongle is using affects the battery, but when I‘m parked for the night, I unplug it.

FYI, In my car, the usb outlet for the dongle is hot after I shut off the engine. But within a moment or two, the power to it shuts off.
That makes it nice because as soon as you open the door, the usb plug becomes alive and the dongle fires up
It may kick off when I lock the door or it just might be on a timer.
Check to see if yours is the same.
I wish the garage door closer and windows worked like that.
I am glad you like your device.

Jhon, I thought I had responded to this back Jan.

You are absolutely right! Just like the mirrors, the usb port fires up, in-turn the dongle, when the car senses the fob. I love it! No need to unplug.

I have new 2025 gv80 3.5 prestige. USB port now usb-c (my 2023 had usb-a). My Apple play dongle will not power down even with doors locked and keys far away. I’ve already had dead battery and service can’t find a problem. How do I power dongle down without just unplugging every time?
