  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I left my Pixel 4 XL phone on the charger during my commute. The wireless charging indicator light was lit. When I got home, the phone was very hot and did not even charge at all. Is this a common issue? 2022 G70

You don't use a mag mount by chance do you? As in you have that small metal plate needed attached to back of phone?

I use a mag mount and tried to use my wireless charger and it heated up the phone pretty badly so I stopped using the wireless charger.

No metal plate whatsoever on my phone.

There's no mention of Pixel 4 *NOT* charging on non-EPP QI pads, so I doubt it's the issue. What I understand is that the phone would charge, but more slowly; and not overheat and lose charge.
Have you tried another phone? That would narrow down if it is the phone or the car.

I will say in my 2022 G70 3.3T it does not charge with the same case on it that I had with my 2019 G70. the light won't come on at all and I need to remove the case for it to charge. I charge my iphone wireless with the case on 3 other wireless chargers without issue. I was going to take the little rubber mat out and see if that helped at all.

In my 2022 G70, the wireless charger was working perfectly fine. Parked and went in store and came back out and now it won't even come on. I took to dealer because it is a week old. They could not figure it out. Now have to wait for service date.

I'm having a similar issue. Phone gets hot enough to trigger a warning, and doesn't seem to have taken much charge of at all. Car just has 500 miles.

I have the same problem. Worked fine and next day wouldn't turn on. Doesn't even show under setting when I search that way.
