  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Please help this newbie. My new GV70 is great but I there is an odd quirk in the Navigation - My Favorite Places setup. Apparently "Home" and "Work "are hard coded entries that do not allow name change edits.

For example if I enter Favorite 1, or Favorite 25, I can enter the address of my doctor then change "Favorite 1" to "Doctor Jones".
However, neither the app or the GV70 allow me to change the name of “Home” or “Work” or delete them. I can clear or edit them but not change the names “Home” and “Work”. These seem hard coded into the software.

I am retired so I don’t have a work address and I prefer to use another designation for “Home”. But every time I access my Stored Favorite Places "Home" and "Work"are at the top. Is there any way to fix this or does Hyundai need a software upgrade?

Been that way on my last five cars. Only thing you can do to make it better is to get a job so you can legitimately fill it in. If you put in another address, you potentialy be prosecuted for fraud.

Thanks guys. I guess Hyundai considers this bug a design feature. It's my only complaint so very happy with the new GV70.
EdP your advice is reasonable but I have been there, done that and over it. From your picture it looks like you are too. :>)

Did my share until I was 71. In the Work position, I put in an address I go to a couple of times a year, 1130 miles from home. The nice thing with navigation, I don't have to think and watch for signs, expecially at night.
