  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Decided to take a solo trip across the country. Visited family in IL, CA and AZ. Cah was flawless the whole trip. No issues at all. Still very happy I bought it. Oil changed (free) just outside Chicago, then again in Phoenix. Told the Phoenix SM at Chapman Hyundai the rear tires were out of balance (since I changed the rims a month ago) between 100 and 130 mph. He gave me a lame reason why they were fine, so I settled for the oil change. Got back on the road and sure enough, I was right and he was not. (being polite). Missed my last chance at breaking 140 on the open road, this time out. Filled up the tank 5 times in my run from Phoenix to home in just over 36 hours nevertheless. Thank you Genesis!
I only saw 1 Genesis the whole ~6,700 mile trip, a G80 in Missouri.20190722_122510.webp20190730_112428.webp20190722_102803.webp20190722_130611.webp20190801_040600.webp20190801_040550.webp

Nice trip. I've done a couple of cross country and would like to do one more.

Of the 36 hours from Phoenix, was the last five hours on the Mass Pike heading into Boston?

I've driven Bawstin to LA twice before, back in the late 70's, early 80's. Never done the west to east crossing. I live just outside "Woostah". Mile markah 97 is my exit on the Pike, usually ~90 minute ride from the NY border, depending on the traffic. Managed about 2 ours sleep in OH. Got home at 4:00 AM. The car went into "autopilot" just east of Buffalo. A cousin lives in San Miguel, CA. Beautiful wine country.20190723_061349.webp20190723_115340.webp

Nice background there. You get off the MA pike at Rt 122 before the traffic l builds.
