  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Xcess electronic exhaust cut..

It's been mentioned before, but this is the higher quality system that I have posted about on my car and on this forum. This does not include the X-pipe which aids in better V8 air flow and maintains proper back pressure. It also costs a fortune to get the X-Pipe welded and fitted correctly. Things to look for are heavy duty wiring, quality of aluminum and steel, and proper weather protection and shielding of components.

It's worth mentioning that 100% of electric exhaust cutouts fail. I've never seen one last. Either the valves seize or the motors die.

I've never seen one last more than 2 years. That includes QTP (they did some Subaru stuff, which is the environment I come from). I've seen a lot of cut-outs fail.
