    I did the exact same thing to a tire of mine years ago, knew what it was because I remember hitting a good hole.
    Days later I noticed the bubble, replaced the tire about 5 weeks later.

    I am in the tire industry and can confirm that isn't a warranty issue. As stated by others that is from an impact; whether you remember it is a different story. If it were a manufacturing defect it would have been apparent upon initial inflation.
    At the dealer level (tire shop or otherwise) it wouldn't cost them anything to give you the replacement tire, it would cost Continental so don't think it's the dealer trying to be cheap.

    The same thing happened to one of my other cars. Had a bubble on side wall and my rim also bent
