    Default Meaty, Meaty, Meaty Tires!!

So no offense to anyone on here, but this is for all these fake a** people telling me. "Oh no, it won't fit, ruin your suspension, take those tires back, your fender will cut them up. Your ride quality will ruined, any bump you go over will crack/bend your rim, those are too big!! You're not going to be able to turn" All these things people said to me, but I still was not going to settle for less. Yeah that's right, I'm running 305/35/20 in the rears, with 42mm offset. See they don't have the NT555R's in 295 or anything like that. In fact I think they only have 2 sizes in 20's and that's the size I have and 275/35/20. I was not going to settle for that size of tire, while all my friends are getting 305's why couldn't I? Yes they have American cars, but I thought I could participate with having wide tires. I tested them for a few hours today driving aimlessly, and wow the grip is amazing.. I can finally pull the ESC fuse and not have lame nanny lag. Anyways, I went over bumps, train track and potholes (on purpose) and it was fine. Ride quality feels the same, if not better! Oh, and let me know what you guys think of my new wheels btw!! They're pretty pricey, but if anyone wants to run the same wheels I can link you!

Do you plan to roll the fenders in the future?

What's the wheel width on the rear and what are your front wheel offset and width?

I tried getting the fenders rolled prior to install, guy said they were pre-rolled from the factory already. He either didn't know what he was talking about or what, but then again when filling around there is no metal plating like you would feel on a different car, so he could've been right.

84FordMan, glad to see you on my thread!! Have to say you are one of my favorite members here. The rear is 20x10 42mm offset, fronts are 20x9 38mm offset. I'm pretty sure 38mm offset is the same as the factory wheels is why I went with 38mm.

    Since you're 19....I'll forgive you.

285's would be a better fit and the wheels would look much better (imho)

Haha yeah maybe, can't be settling for less tho man. I wanted wide tires to have zero wheel spin, 285's are wide yes, but there is still a chance of wheel spin. I can let you drive my car, and you can literally feel it stick to the pavement!

I understand what you saying, I had a '13 Rspec and those OEM tires 235's were a joke, seriously. I'd probably went with wider tires, but I traded it in for a '15 V8 and now I have 285's on 10.5 width rims.

Hey Ambush no I am not lowered in any way, the only thing I'd consider lowering is the front a little bit to delete the wheel gap. The wheels are RSR Wheels R704 in Gloss Black. Thanks for liking my setup as well! Appreciate it very much!

Who cares how heavy they are !!! Those things are chick-magnets !!! (At least I assume they are, or why else would someone spend that much money on something so hideous).

Front fenders can be rolled no problem but the rears are a different story. Rears fenders are double walled and you cant simply roll them. The do however already have a rounded lip which may be what he was referring to. If you took a cross section of the driver side standing behind the car it would look like this |/ Have to stretch/pull the inner wall before you effect the outer and if not done properly it will crease or turn into bacon. Really need to cut/modify the inner wall before you can pull the outer.

IIRC when researching offsets for my wheels it is +39. 38 39 eeeh close enough, anyways car looks good. Nice job.
