Assuming MSRP of your G80 Sport was ~$57k, you got at least $25k trade in on your Genesis. Not great, but not bad considering they probably discounted the sale price of the brand new G80 Sport which just hit the market. Hey, sometimes those random spur of the moment deals just work out real nice.

The only time I did an impulse car purchase was when Infiniti dealer was trying to get my 2004 G35 coupe 6MT in for a trade so I could do a 12 month lease on a new 2007 G35 coupe 6MT (never heard of a 12 month lease before). Long story short, salesman calls the minute the car came off the truck, so I stop in on the way to the gym (wearing basketball shorts and tank top, with zero intentions to purchase). They offered about $3k more than I expected for trade in, and lease payment was much lower than I expected. The next day I felt I left money on the table because they accepted my counter offer too quickly. Lesson learned.

But hey, congrats and enjoy the new ride. Looks sweet in the Polar Ice.

They actually gave me $29k on my trade (only 2,500 miles on it) and this was my 4th purchase from this dealer.
They also discounted the price of the car by a few grand. I think I did pretty well, and sure do love the Polar Ice.

Gorgeous car. Does that Polar Ice have a hint of aqua/teal? It seems to in these pix.

    Sorry, I'm a bit color-blind, so can't honestly say.
Whatever color it is, I really like it. I think it's the nicest one offered at this time.
