It would be very nice if someone will actually dyno the car. Based on my personal feeling I think 3.3T is underrated.

That is fast for a more than 4700lb car. It will be interesting to see how fast the upcoming smaller and lighter G70 sport will be. I have heard reports of a sub 4.7 s time.

All I know is in Sport mode, manual gear selection into 3rd at 40mph at 3,000rpm....floor it and it's very very impressive. It's a good demo of the 3.3 turbos roll-on power. It covers 40-80mph quickly. Great for on ramps.

4.9 0-60 for the overweight in RWD. Looks like they created a gem of an engine and tranny ..... just need to work on the dynamics to bring it in line with the G70.

From what I have read, the Sport with the 3.3T is about the same, 0-60, as the 5.0. The 5.0 starts to take the lead above 60. It seems the 3.3T is a nice powerhouse. I wanted to get 3.3T in my G80 but it, unfortunately, is not available. I don't care for the grill, styling or 19 in wheels on the Sport. Car and Driver says 0-60 in around 5 seconds flat on the AWD version Sport, matching the Jaguar X FS AWD.

Remember that just by using 93 Octane, the average 5.0 R Spec will easily break 5 sec. Also taking the magnetics off the air box and deleting the 2nd cats, which won't screw up emissions, will lower it further, as will larger width rear tires. Also one thing most miss is that most magazine runs do not count the 1st foot of car movement on the qualifying times. R&T and others publish that fact.

I had the 2015 5.0 liter V8 since the first week that it went on sale in 2014, and just traded it in for the 2018 3.3 liter V6 a week ago. Although I never timed either one of them, I can tell you definitively that the sport feels faster and more responsive. From what I have read, it’s about .2 or .3 seconds faster, which may be partially due to being lighter weight. It also feels much lighter on it’s feet, and corners much better than my old V8. I loved that car, but this one really feels like a step above.

My intuition tells me that when the G70 launches there will be a few G80 Sport owners with buyer's remorse.

It’s underrated. I just beat a Cayman GTS to 80mph from dead stop. Granted it was 38 degrees out. Pulled him from a stop and won by 1/2 car length. He stopped and was questioning about car. His was a PDK version.
