I had a 2013 for three years and the car had not a single defect of any kind in that time.

I have now had a 2015 for a year and in that time the car has gone completely dead overnight on six occasions. On each occasion the car was recovered by jumpstarting and then the dealer kept it with him for troubleshooting (on one occasion for ten days). On the first occsion the battery was changed but no explanation has ever been found. On this last occasion there is a new wrinkle as the car will not respond to jumpstarting. The dealer will collect the car on Monday and perhaps the fact that it is completely dead this time will aid troubleshooting

If nothing can be found I would like to move ahead. I'm not sure what I want just yet, perhaps a return of the bulk of the money and say goodbye to the brand.

In any case, I know some of you have been down this road before so I would be gratefulfor any advice as to what does or doesn't work when approaching Hyundai for redress.

Do not lock your car by pressing the lock button on your trunk.

Is there a specific reason you suggest that? Has it been known to cause issues or something?

Never been an issue with my 2015. I find the lock button on the trunk quite handy...

I have been having this problem as well. For me its the black box over the positive terminal on the battery that's causing the issue. It get loose for some reason and Im not sure why. Next time it happens wiggle that box and see if it comes back to life. To me it seems like the clamp that connects over the terminal is small and doesn't get a tight grip. My problem was I would attempt to start the car and all power goes out. I am about tired of mines as well with the sunroof rattle and I can't seem to get a camber kit for it yet. My wife has one and with only 12000 miles he PSD light has come on for no reason and had to have the fuel control module replaced. ( I know your thinking seat belt and fuel don't go together but with this car it does. LOL
