My 2017 G80 Ultimate has always displayed the "you're draining the battery" warning within 3 seconds of shutting down the engine if the radio is on. Don't remember if it disappears or stays on until I open the door. I love the car, but for me, the fact that the AV keeps going after you turn the car off is probably the most annoying thing about the vehicle.

Seems to be very common in many cars today. My GM cars did it too, touted as a feature. Can't say it bothers me, but I don't see much of an upside either, except I often turn down the radio volume so it is not blaring when I start next time.

This thread reminds me of a post here by a new member asking why a "check your surroundings" message always popped up when he put his Genesis into reverse. We told him it was normal, but never heard from him again.

He was parked on the edge of a cliff. Got out to check his surroundings and went over the edge. The memorial service was very nice.

This may depend on which sound system is in the car. The top end trim has a different radio head unit and that may effect whether this happens.

Yes, once you go into acc mode or engine off it's normal. Check your owner manual.
