The Genesis G70 luxury sport sedan has been recognized as the leading Aspirational Luxury Car in the 2019 Ideal Vehicle Awards presented by AutoPacific, the leading automotive research consultancy. AutoPacific’s Ideal Vehicle Awards study asks owners to consider 14 vehicle attributes that they would want to change, and winners are selected based on the lowest desire for change. Over 50,000 vehicle owners contributed to the 2019 decision-making process.

“At Genesis, we design and engineer our luxury vehicles so they deliver, if not exceed, our owners’ expectations, so we are honored to receive this award from AutoPacific that affirms our approach,” said Erwin Raphael, Chief Operating Officer, Genesis Motor America. This award for G70 continues a string of recognition by AutoPacific of Genesis leadership in the luxury automotive space. Last year, Genesis was named Highest Satisfaction Premium Brand, and the G90 flagship sedan was awarded the AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Award for Luxury Car. “The ideal vehicle awards measure how well a vehicle meets the desires of its buyers,” said Dan Hall, Vice President at AutoPacific. “This award shows that Genesis understands their buyers and has developed a car that is ideal for them.”

Genesis G70 Awarded as a 2019 Best New Car by Autotrader

The 2019 Genesis G70 has been named a “2019 Best New Car” by Autotrader. The award, which was agreed upon unanimously among Autotrader editors, was presented to G70 on the basis of its class-redefining merits. Conveying the stand-out attributes of G70, they noted that its interior is “a highlight that rivals cars costing tens of thousands of dollars more.”“This award is further recognition of the G70’s outstanding positioning among luxury sport sedans,” said Erwin Raphael, Chief Operating Officer, Genesis Motor America.

We are honored for our new G70 to receive this accolade from Autotrader.”.G70 was selected by the editors of Autotrader from a list of over 300 eligible, new vehicles. Led by Editor-in-Chief Brian Moody, the team of editors spent the year testing interior comfort and materials, build quality, available features and ride quality.“Anyone can get a European luxury sedan, in some cities, they’re almost common,” said Autotrader Executive Editor, Brian Moody. “The Genesis G70 takes a different path. A loaded G70 with very impressive performance will set you back about $45,000. A nicely equipped and still luxurious base model is about ten grand less than that. It’s an excellent performance/luxury car for those who don’t want to follow the crowd.”

Genesis G70 Named Car and Driver 10Best Award Winner

Today, Car and Driver announced the selection of the 2019 Genesis G70 as a 2019 10Best award winner at an awards event in conjunction with the Los Angeles Auto Show. “We are honored that the editors of Car and Driver recognized the G70 as a luxury sports sedan worthy of receiving their highest recommendation,” said Erwin Raphael, executive director, Genesis Motor America. “We’re inspired that the performance and luxury promise of the car resonates not only with our customers but also with some of the most respected third parties.” This is the first time that a Genesis model has been named to the 10Best list. Car and Driver has issued a 10Best list since 1983.

“It’s rare that a new entry in a hotly-contested segment draws even with the class leaders, let alone beats them. But the G70 does just that,” said Eddie Alterman, editor-in-chief of Car and Driver. “And this new Genesis doesn’t achieve its position through simple mimicry. It has its own point-of-view—a smart balance of luxury, performance, and efficiency.” The 2019 Genesis G70 luxury sport sedan resets benchmarks and expectations in its class for the holistic integration of leading performance, refined luxury, and aerodynamic style. G70 is the third of six new Genesis models to debut by 2021 and the final sedan of the lineup. As the first Genesis model in the highly- competitive entry-level luxury segment, G70 outperforms legacy luxury sport sedans with driver-focused performance.
