  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The steering wheel emblem is not OEM, but is an after-market emblem that just sticks on top of the existing one. They all will hold fine with the included 3M tape.

On the hood emblem, you will have to remove the posts, since the hood does not have any holes to accept them.

There are many threads on this forum with instructions on how to replace the emblems, some with videos.

Thank you and will look it up. Btw, in the front hood, there are no posts to remove (it's a 2012 3.8L base model) and I am not sure where the holes are?

The posts are on the hood emblem, and since there are no holes on the USA Genesis hood (as there are on the KDM hood), you must remove the posts from the emblem. Dremel tool works fine, but there are other ways.

Got it... Thank you.

Better yet, leave the hood emblem off. Looks much better that way (IMO)

To me, it looks bland and seems something is missing... I definitely like the emblem in the front and only a matter of time before I add it. I am not really sure how it will look in white and since it's only $13, not a bank breaker ;)

Thanks for you concern, though.

Just remember that the larger one goes on the hood (slightly curved) and smaller one on the trunk. Hood emblem should be mounted 1" above the chrome trim. Some people have used masking tape for alignment of the hood emblem. Trunk emblem fits into existing holes for perfect alignment.

I did the trunk and the wheels including the after market sticky over the steering wheel. Did not do the hood because for me was a little too much. I get enough questions already on what kind of car it is. :o

Now if I could get the Nav and Status screen to not flash the flying H at me at start up I will have successfully erased Hyundai from the branding on my car.

Rethink the hood. The thing is too big.

What about the etching on the window glass?
