  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just received, in the mail, a memo from John Krafcik, Pres. of Hyundai USA, some plastic roadside assistance cards, and other propaganda and advertising. This is after buying two new Azeras and both a new 2009 & 2012 Genesis in the last 5 years. I sent consumeraffairs@hmausa an e-mail showing my disgust and displeasure over their cheapness and told them I would feel better if they would send something like a Hyundai shirt.:(

Economy's tough these days...

:p

I have to say, our gifts were much better two years ago. And even a year ago.

Might I ask what other companies have acknowledged and rewarded your purchasing prowess to your satisfaction?

It is sad but in today's world where customer service has gone the way of the Dodo it is odd to even get any acknowledgement or appreciation of your business period. Let alone a form letter from the office of John Krafcik and some plastic roadside assistance cards, and other propaganda and advertising.

Granted the letter and gift is not commensurate with what you would qualify as a respectable gift; but one would expect that at least the gesture would be meet with a courteous Thank You. I mean they did sell you cars right? You just did not gift them all that money, and get nothing back in return? So whats the big deal? Its business, you give them money, they give you a car. The fact that Hyundai sent you a letter of thanks is something right?

Personally I'm still waiting for my Thank You letter from GM, Chrysler, and UAW from their thousands of employees and execs for saving their jobs, and lively hoods; but alas still nothing. (And yes I too think that GM,Chrysler, and UAW owe me at least a T-Shirt! ;) )

BRAVO! Well stated response! :)

Once upon a time, I bought a new Tahoe (1996?), and a month or so afterwards, I received a GIFT from Chevy...a carrying case and inside: a camera, a small road flare, and a very nice flashlight. How about that? :D And from Hyundai, I got a license plate holder for Genny (didn't we all?) :) But, I ain't never got no stinkin' t-shirt.

Best thing I got from Hyundai was a pair of tickets to the NY Auto Show. And those tickets came with an early hands-on demo for the BlueLink system and a couple of small gifts (best of which was a USB flash drive shaped like a key, with a Hyundai logo on it).

And THAT was for being a part of Hyundai Think Tank, not because I owned a Hyundai at the time (I didn't).

I guess you can say (by proxy) i got my first wife from hyundai... unfortunately it was at the same time their quality sucked. Honestly if you want swag from hyundai go trade in your hyunidai for another and use the 1000 1500 current owner credit. Ill take the 1500 over a shitty key holder any day!

Ppp

No good deed goes unpunished

I got a dipstick, non-runflat tires, a spare in the trunk, and a smile every time I get in the car. Hyundai got my money.

Somebody should take up a collection for the OP.

For a shirt that says:

I bought 4 Hyundai's in 5 years and all I got was this crappy T-Shirt! :D

Maybe one of these instead?

Got my Thank You Yesterday. Same one with Roadside Assistance Tags, and Travel Log. At least it was something. Didn't get anything with my $126,000 Mercedes when I bought it.

I have been getting quite a bit of use out of the wine bottle stopper that they sent out when they released the equus.

Anybody else?

Rats! All I got was a jar of Grey Poupon. :D:D

I saved several thousands by going with Genny and wouldn't really care if they send anything at all. I got an awesome car, in fact an amazing driving experience, and sent a nice letter showing my appreciation for a well built car and a terrific deal and guess what... I got a nice Genny front license plate holder and a pen.

Hyundai keeps getting better :welcome:

Not to anger the OP regarding one of my previous posts, in which the CEO sent me a gift box worth quite a bit, with a lot of promotional items. Perhaps because I bought a Genesis, or could be because I wrote that I upgraded to the Genesis from Lexus.
