  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everybody,

This is my first post here so I want to say Hi to everyone.

Last Thursday I took my 2008 Azera to local dealership for oil change and six hours later I came home in 2011 Genesis 4.6 with Technology package. I still can't believe what crazy day that was.

Regards,
MozrtMan

What did you trade ?

I traded in 2008 Azera Limited with 31,000 miles which I bought last July for $15,000 with 12,000 miles on odometer. I still had $7,500 balance on the Azera.
That 2011 Genesis 4.6 with Tech package and winged badges was "Manager's Special" (demo or loner with 6,000 miles on odometer). But it was never titled so it was sold as new with full OEM warranty, but with big discount.

So, this is how my purchase agreement looks:

32,539 - Genesis sale price

+ 294 - dealer fees

32,753 - taxable price

+ 1965.18 - tax
+ 23 - title

34,741 - OTD price

- 13,400 - Azera trade in price
+ 7,515 - Azera loan payoff

Net trade - 5,884

- 1000 - down payment

Total credits 6,884

Financed amount - $27,856 for 84 month at 3.75 APR - $377 per month.

I may be wrong, but I think I got a good deal because I can't afford $43,000 car. And I didn't know about Genesis when I bought Azera last July. And when I saw Genesis first time and did some research on Internet I fell in love with her and began dreaming about it.

Thanks Potty Pants.

Simple calculation will look like that:

34,741 (OTD price)
-
6,884 (Total credits )
=
$27,856 (Finance amount)

wow, i didn't know they made 84 month car loans - only in america!
your price is good however.
hopefully you can pay off the car sooner to avoid the interest cost.

I guess they really wanted to make me happy.

That's what I was doing with my Routan and Azera (both 5 years) car loans, I was one year ahead of schedule for both loans.

I too just purchased a 2011 4.6 w/ Tech, Platinum w/ Saddle :D So far it's great. I have a few vehicles, but I traded my super charged 1999 Nissan Maxima that had 144K on it. The dealer gave me 2500 trade in credit (which is more than I expected since the car needed 4 new tires 225/35/18s, full rear suspension replaced, egr valve replaced or cleaned out, knock sensor replaced and new brake pads all around and also needed a couple new belts and the V1 probably needs a rebuild pretty soon.) Honestly, I don't think they even looked over the car, the guy walked around it, jotted down the mileage and that it was super charged w/ aftermarket exhaust, rims, intake and suspension. The 2500 was NET after their basic recondition estimate of $525 which is insane and the cost of the tires wholesale.

In any event, this car is better/faster than that maxima ever was and it's fairly cheap considering. Also opted to increase bumper-to-bumper to 100,000 miles.

Edit: You also got a much better deal than I did. Mine was CPO w/ 33,000 miles on it. Dealer had it listed at 33500 which was cheaper than anything in that mileage year range around here. Total financed for me was 27839 with trade and 0 down, 1.9% APR for 60 months. So I was able to haggle their pricing down a lot based on some cars I found 250+ miles away on autotrader.com. Still pretty good, but I wish I'd gotten one with 6,000 miles on it for the same price like you :D
