  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My wife was driving the Genesis with me in the passenger seat. Police car comes up from behind and flashes his lights, so I get pretty irritated because about 5 minutes earlier I made a comment about her driving a bit over the speed limit. The officer comes to the window as my wife was freaking out and he immediately says she did nothing wrong. He said that he ran the plates checking for stolen vehicles, and when it came up as a Hyundai he couldn't verify that's what we were driving since I have the rear wing emblem. He thought that maybe we had switched the plates because the car looked like a Bentley or something similar. He then precedes to let us go once we stopped and he was able to get a better look at the car. Other than making us a couple minutes late to our destination I thought this was hilarious and knew some of you would get a kick out of it. :D

LOL

Well... I guess I'd be pretty happy if that happened to me. I might have even offered a "trade" until the next exit or something, 'cause that's how I roll.

Good Story!

I got pulled over earlier this year for making a illegal U-turn. Lucky I got a Warning.....The Cop filled out the warning ticket 'Chrysler' under Make.

I wonder if you can get out of a ticket if a cop misidentifies your car...

Oftentimes, yes. But these days they usually get the vehicle info from the computer retrieval of license plate info.
