I've done a couple of searches and not really turning up any info on what the other members here have done in regards to adding HID to their non-xenon cars.
Giant Robo,
As OneFunGenesis linked to you,
I'm looking to sell mine - http://www.genesisowners.com/hyundai-genesis-forum/showthread.php?t=11088
Brand new in the box and never used from KAI (Korean Auto Imports) fully compatible with the Genesis sedan. I've paid $269.00 but am willing to to sell them for $190.00.
PM me if you're interested.
Thanks Aquineas, that's helpful information; and your guess is correct. However I don't really expect to have the brilliant white of those newer LED light bars we see these days, though I'd like to. But I would like something a bit brighter for a DRL (more like LED bars), and my opinion is that as DRLs, the light produced by our stock bulbs look too yellowish, non-tech, and ordinary for such a fine car.
There are only 2 ways to run HIDs properly: Either by buying factory HID lights (ie Tech package or V8 headlights) or retrofitting them with proper HID optics (which requires a little but of fabrication on your end, see the Complete Retrofit Kits: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=64).
.
OP, I recommend ignoring all of the advice previously given in this thread. HID kits (both the set Dominic is selling and on the vendor sites)
My post said nothing whatsoever about HIDs whatsoever.
OP, I recommend ignoring all of the advice previously given in this thread. HID kits (both the set Dominic is selling and on the vendor sites) are both illegal and mildly dangerous.
Giant Robo,
They were plug and play, I had my dealer install them for me.
I have the premium package, so prior to getting the Prada lights I did not have HID's.
I'm not that good with knowledge on lighting except the basics.
I did purchase the HID kit which I'm selling and was planning on installing it but instead purchased the Prada Lights which cost me around $1500 after being shipped.
