I can't understand why anyone would name their car after the scientific name for a dog (K9 "canine")

Reminds me of other unusual names for other makes of cars from other brands.

"Astro" from GM. Named after the Jetson's dog.

"Probe" from Ford. Named for ......uh well you can figure it out.

Etc, etc, etc....

And that grille? Hideous!

But I did notice the K-9 was sporting ContiProcontacts. Is this new for Hyundai/Kia, and has the Genesis done away with the Dunlops? Hopefully.

Yes no more Dunlops for Genesis. ContiProContact on the Rspec and Michelin EnergySaver A/S on the V6 IIRC for 2013. But neither are as good as my Pilot Super Sports

I'm not exactly in love with the styling of the Quoris either, but it most definitely is not cheap. It has all the finishes and features of an Equus. The Genesis simply isn't on the Quoris' level in that regard.

I would say that the K-9 has to have the ugliest grill that I have ever seen, I looks like an afterthought, and why god this it have side ports, why.. what is the point. Just another afterthought.

I can hear the stylist and I quote "we have some empty space here in the fender, apprentice, yes you with the funny look on your face pass me the set of side ports over on that bench." as he places them carefully then steps back turns and looks over to his colleges and then there is a small golf clap that turns thunderous, "brilliant" you have done it again roars from the others in the room.

Just another day in the Kia Design Studio, I can only assume!

Cadenza looks better than the Quoris.
